A holiday aboard a rental boat on a historic stretch of the British canal network is one of the greatest pleasures boating has to offer. While various sun-chasing holidays abroad can leave you even more exhausted than you were at the start, a good canal holiday has you sucking in restorative air, smiling at people you would usually ignore and marvelling at how your heart rate appears to have halved. After just a couple of hours, you find yourself sidestepping the ferocious pace of modern life, and easing along at a couple of knots with nothing on your mind but the water, the scenery and the thought of that pub that awaits you just around the next corner.

All About Our Narrowboats
Arthur & Ollie Owl were built to provide the same creature comforts you would expect in a quaint boutique hotel and have been rated as 5* accommodation by British Marine. You will not find any other hire boats on the water that provide such luxury, comfort, space, accessories or beauty as that found on our eco-friendly 57 ft boat, Arthur Owl (sleeps 4), or 58 ft Ollie Owl (sleeps 5). The all-electric propulsion combined with efficient onboard generators, plus 1.6kW of solar power to enable recharging of the high capacity battery banks, provides both boats with near silent cruising without the need to connect to shore power throughout your holiday.
Cafwin Cruises believe that life is better on the water and to help our guests take responsible care to protect the waterways environment as much as possible, both boats have been kitted out to be as eco-friendly as possible, and, to our knowledge, we are the only company on the English Canal Network to offer only Serial Electric Hybrid Narrowboats for hire. Unless you’re travelling on the River Avon, there are no extra costs at all! Many narrowboat companies charge for extras, but the price you see here is inclusive of everything, be that VAT, fuel, bedding, dogs (refundable deposit), WiFi, river licence, plus 1 toilet pump out per week for holidays over 7 nights, etc. You’ll be paying an exceptionally competitive price for the very highest of standards.
